Plate 1 – Average Calories Per Capita Per Day

Plate 3 – U.S. Federal Food Subsidies and U.S. Recommended Daily Nutritional Requirements
A plate of two graphs. One graph showing the proportion of U.S. Federal Subsidies allotted to each major food group. The other graph showing the proportion of the U.S. Federal Daily Nutritional Recommendations of servings of each of the major food groups. The two graphs together allows a comparison of the discrepancy between what the government suggests we eat and what the government pays to be grown.

Plate 4 – Obese Population and Undernourished Population
A plate of two graphs. One graph showing the population percentage of each country that is considered obese, having a Body Mass Index of 30 or greater. The other graph showing the percentage of each country that is considered undernourished, that is, the number of people who fall below a minimum energy requirement, which is estimated by sex and age group based on a reference body weight. This minimum energy requirement varies by country, but typically averages between 1750 and 2030 kilocalories per person daily.

Each set consists of one of each of the four dinner plates which are signed and numbered on the reverse.
